Responsibilities / Tasks

As a payroll specialist you are responsible for processing payroll and conducting payroll reporting and auditing duties.

You review, prepare and process payroll in a compliant, correct and timely manner.

In the role you :

In broad strokes the main responsibility of the role is to maintain accurate payroll records, tracking payments to full-time, part-time, and contingent workers and to answer employee questions about payroll and related issues.

In more detail, it is to :

  • Verify hours and maintain / process information that may include employees? hourly rates, salaries, bonuses or other compensation, holidays, deductions and withholdings, and other information.
  • Processes and issues statement of earnings and deductions.
  • Provides information to employees and managers on payroll matters and tax issues.
  • Prepares reports when required
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Ensures all taxes are reconciled, processed, and paid in a timely manner.
  • Keeps informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process.

You will work closely with a payroll manager based in Soeborg also as well as with colleagues from other HR functions, hereunder the HR Business Partner organization based in Denmark and HR Operations based in Berlin.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably also experience with shadow payroll
  • Strong knowledge of Danish labour law and relevant tariffs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills in both Danish and English (verbal and written)
  • Problem-solving skills & interpersonal skills
  • Experience with EPOS System and general computer literacy
